Mucormycosis in COVID-19 Pandemic: Study Involving Tertiary Hospitals in Aurangabad District, India

Introduction: An abrupt increase in the mucormycosis patients india during COVID 19 pandemic was observed. A collective study conducted tertiary care hospitals Aurangabad.
 Materials and Methods: retrospective descriptive Aurangabad (Maharashtra), association with Municipal Corporation (AMC), oralcare.co.in SNDH Hospital, Aurangabad. Data collected by AMC from 3 major present where treatment of Mucormycosis done May 2021 to July 2021. The data total 135 received were included study. It demographics patients, medical clinical history, history 19, type Mucormycosis, outcomes Mucormycosis.
 Results: In study, 74.7% males. 77.4% above 50 years age. seen that about 67% had diabetes mellitus as most common risk factor. About 87.4% a COVID-19. Majority population diagnosed rhino-maxillary-orbital which is 39%, followed rhino-cerebral type-25%. Only 1% showed rhiono-nasal -orbital Mucormycosis. 30% not categorised into any type. All amphotericin B surgical treatment. 84.4% discharged after 15.6% died or treatment.
